He is a partner at Rush, Hannula, Harkins & Kyler, where he has worked for his entire legal career. In addition to his active case load, John serves as arbitrator for mandatory arbitration cases and uninsured/underinsured motorist cases.
John was born and raised in the Puget Sound region and has lived in Pierce County since 1991. He is an aggressive and professional trial lawyer who enjoys working with his clients to achieve a fair and just resolution of their cases. "Most of my clients haven't been involved in an insurance claim or a lawsuit before and need my help understanding the process," he says. "I fully explain what to expect emotionally, time-wise and financially, and I’m always happy to answer all my client’s questions as the case progresses."
John has lectured on civil litigation issues to his peers. In 2005 he was elected to the board of trustees for the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association for a two year term. He has also served on the Tacoma-Pierce County Bar Association's Judicial Qualification Committee since 2001; he co-chaired the committee in 2003 and 2004.
John lives in Tacoma with his wife, Cheryl, and their son, Luke.
