Graham, Washington occupies 21.4 square miles in eastern Pierce County, part of the prosperous and rapidly growing Seattle-Tacoma Metropolitan Area. This Census Designated Place reported a population of 8,739, (Census 2000 data).
Graham is just off of HWY 161, ten miles away from each of the communities of Puyallup, Spanaway, Summit , and Eatonville. The major city of Tacomaa lies twelve miles distant, and East Seattle, population 410,000, forty miles. Graham residents report a medium household income of $52,824, a figure more than $10,000 above the national average. Twenty-three colleges and universitiess lie within a forty mile radius.
Graham, WA hosts the annual Wiener Tales and Dog Race festival, honoring the area’s beloved Daschunds and attracting patrons from all around the Puget Sound Region. Proceeds of the event go to the Almost Home Daschund Rescue Society.
Easter Pierce County communities host varied and exciting festivals and events. The three-week Puyallup Fairir is the largest in Washington State, and tenth largest in the nation.
