Dan Harkins was born and raised in the Tacoma area. He became an associate attorney with Rush Hannula Harkins & Kyler in 2014 after passing the Washington State Bar Exam. Since joining the firm he has handled a variety of personal injury and general civil litigation cases.
Dan graduated from Seattle University School of Law in 2014. Prior to law school Dan earned his high school diploma from Bellarmine Prep and his undergraduate degree in History from Gonzaga University.
During law school, Dan advocated for indigent people who were denied their constitutional right to counsel. He and his fellow team members won freedom for clients who had their right to counsel denied. He also participated in Alternative Dispute Resolution and Negotiation Competitions.
Dan is a member of the Tacoma Pierce County Bar and the Washington State Bar Associations where he is active with the CLE Committee, and the Young Lawyers Group. He is an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice and a member of the American Association of Justice.
In his free time, Dan is active in the local community and enjoys spending time with his wife Amanda and their daughter Lidia. He is an avid Seahawks, Mariners, and Gonzaga basketball fan, and enjoys working out at the YMCA.
